Enjoying Facebook

Nope your not going crazy, my second post in two days. I had some drafts that I needed to finish up on. That and the preparations for my big travel plans in January didn't really give me much time for my blog. So a double treat ;)

A while back I started my second social media experiment and posted about it. I expected it to be time consuming and not so much fun but boy was I wrong. But I tried it for a month (much longer), so a little update is in order.

Facebook helps me share a bit more that I like, as I already did on Twitter, but with more people that I know as most of my friends don't get Twitter. Although I don't see the real difference between the two. Twitter is just the most minimalistic of the two. Facebook lets you share things more directly without the use of a url shortener.

It's a great way to stay in touch with friends you don't see that often and still share bits and pieces of your life. It keeps you up-to-date on their life as well. And like I said back when I started to use Facebook it's a great way to keep in touch with people you meet on the go.

I use TweetDeck mostly though instead of the Facebook website. Just like I do with Twitter and LinkedIn. This way I keep all my social media within reach from one single application.

Just a little addition Facebook recently release there new Profile look. You can get an early peak at it by visiting http://www.facebook.com/about/profile/ and clicking the green button in the upper right corner.
