My Firefox extensions

Plugins, add-ons, extensions, call them what you will. It seems nowadays more and more programs are getting this handy ability to extend it's basic feature set. This makes the basic program relatively simple and fast but also extendable to your own liking.

Anyways this post is about what Firefox extensions I use, so:

  • Adblock Plus - Blocks ads
  • Better Flickr - Adds a few improvements to Flickr
  • Better GCal - Adds a few improvements to Google Calendar
  • Better Gmail 2 - Adds a few improvements to Google Calendar
  • Better Google Analytics - Adds a few improvements to Google Analytics
  • Better GReader - Adds a few improvements to Google Reader
  • Better YouTube - Adds a few improvements to Google Calendar
  • Firebug - THE webdeveloper tool (must have for any devver)
  • FireFTP - FTP client inside Firefox
  • FxIF - Shows EXIF information of a pictures
  • Gmail Notifier - Indicates when a new message arrives in your gmail
  • NoScript - Prevents exploitation of security vulnerabilities
  • Perspectives - Gives a perspective on a https certificate
  • Screengrab - Grabs your current screen inside Firefox (screenshot)
  • Speed Dial - Easily access your preferred websites
  • StumbleUpon - Discover the web
  • Tab Mix Plus - Improves tab features

Quite some add-ons but then again the browser is performing a bigger role then ever.

Minor update above and now Mozilla has launched a simple way to check if you need to update your Plugins by way of a site Plugin Check.
